Healthy Dry fruits Laddu/Laadoo without sugar or jaggery





Dry fruit laddu is a healthy snack loaded with vitamins and other essential nutrients and is consumed widely in India.

Ingredients required for preparing the dry fruit laddu.

Ingredients:-

1. Khajjur/Dates - 3 cups
2. Cashew nuts - 1 cup
3. Almonds - 1 cup
3. Pista  - 1 cup
4. Raisin/Khismish -1/4 cup
5. Khas Khas(Ghas Ghase in Kannada)
6. Ghee 4-5 tsp

Preparation method:-

Step 1 : First remove the seeds of the khajjur/dates and put it in a grinder to form a medium dough like consistency.

Step 2 : Chop all the dry fruits into small pieces. I usually put them in a grinder and turn it on for a second to get the desired size. This saves a lot of time that is involved in cutting the dry fruits into small pieces.

Step 3 : Heat the pan on a low flame and pour the ghee into it. Add the dry fruits pieces and  roast it separately for few minutes till they turn slightly brown.

Step 4 : Fry the grounded dates on the tava to soften them.

Step 4 : Mix the above items with the khajjur/dates. 

Step 5 : Apply some ghee to the palm and roll the mixture to form a ball like structure.

The laddu is ready to be served.
