Amla(Indian Gooseberry) infused buttermilk

Amla infused butter milk is one of the simplest ways to include Amla in the diet. Amla is considered to be the nectar of life and has many health benefits1 right from treating common cold to controlling blood sugar levels. It is also used as a diuretic, laxative, liver tonic, hair tonic etc,. Amla also works as a coolant and is hence useful in reducing body heat. It is rich in anti-oxidants and thus delays ageing.

Let us take a look at the process of preparing an amla infused butter milk.


Ingredients:-

1. Amla - 1nos, Alternatively Amla Churna, where, fresh amla is not available, 1tsp amla powder can be used per serving.

2. Butter milk - 1 glass(200 ml)

Preparation method:-

Step 1 : Take one amla, wash it thoroughly. Grate the amla and grind it in a juicer.

Step 2 : Take one glass butter milk and mix the amla juice. One tsp amla powder can be mixed, in case fresh amla is not available. If it is too sour, then, the it can be split into two servings.

The butter milk is ready for serving.
